February 1st

Preparations for our Dunamis Int'l Ministries trip to India Trip 7-16 February 2012 are well underway.

I hope you will be able to join us (Sally, our friend Tara and me) in prayer for a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit when we minister the Gospel in rural Indian villages, pray for up to 100 lepers, lead a retreat for 40 pastors and best of all love on the 56 orphans we support through Dunamis International Ministries...On this trip we hope to buy good slip-on shoes for all 56 kids as well as bless the poor rural village pastors with a love gifts, and see God do miracles that will change the spiritual climate wherever we go....Only the Holy Spirit can make that happen.

During February consider the status you have with God Almighty as a, "Faithful, Humble and Giving" person of integrity. Many have attempted to climb the mountain of God's holiness but few continue to journey to the top. Why? It takes great sacrifice to become mighty in the Lord. It takes spiritual and moral courage to live day by day for God's glory. Too many Christians are sidetracked by the untamed wants within them. Don't squander your precious birthright for any reason.

That's why Apostle John says, "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world-the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-is not of the Father but is of the world" (1 John 2:15-16).

Reflect on this passage today. How can you overcome temptation and bring God glory as you serve him?

Nothing the world offers can trump what God wants for us. Let's commit together to living for God's glory and being more like Jesus every day.

The writer of Hebrews says, "Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God" (Hebrews 12:1-2)

The rewards for delayed gratification far outweigh anything the world has to offer. So keep your eyes on the ultimate prize...Seeing Jesus face to face and being congratulated for your Kingdom Service and Integrity.

And don't forget to say this every morning...
I am a Child of the Most High God.
The devil has lost me.
Jesus has redeemed me.
The Holy Spirit empowers me.
The Word of God guides.
Heaven awaits me.
I am a Child of the Most High God.

God's peace me with you all.
